I use the phone line just so I get broadband from somewhere else, much cheaper and proving more efficient so far. I don't think they should be allowed to be called telecommunication companies unless they actually allow communication. False advertising isn't it? Unfortunately for me BT have the say so over my local exchange upgrade causing my ISP AOL not to be able to deliver a decent speed! until BT upgrade the local exchange, only a mile away! Heck there is no escape from BT even when you are not with them! The telecommunications companies seem to me to be a miss-match of square pegs in round holes or is it round pegs in square holes? all caught up in a techno-nightmare of its own making and demise, such is a "free market place" for these services. That’s why I parted from BT ages ago!
