From time to time I purchase Sainsbury’s own brand ready mixed cocktails. They have very recently repackaged them i.e. re-designed the bottles to re-launch their cocktails. The cocktail I have purchased is ‘Mojito’, low and behold I now find that since redesigning the bottles they have reduced the alcohol content from 14% down to 12%, ok I can live with that, but MY OH MY, they have lowered the alcohol content designed POSH bottles and increased the price by £2.00 per bottle.(from £5.99 to £7.99) What an underhanded way to increase prices, Do Sainsbury’s think their customers will not notice what they have done? Their excercise has taught me a very important lesson when out shopping, keep an eye on weights and measures.
